Spring has arrived and Easter is on the way! 🌼
We’ll be taking a break over the holiday period, so please read on for information about our opening hours and the services which will be available during this time.
OPENING HOURS 🐣
Colchester
Thursday 14 April – main library closing at 8pm
Friday 15 April – closed
Saturday 16 April – closed
Sunday 17 April – closed
Monday 18 April – closed
Tuesday 19 April – main library opening at 8am
There will be 24/7 access to the Library Reading Room and Postgraduate Room throughout. Books can be returned to the external book return in Colchester at any time over the closure period, the book return is located opposite the Silberrad.
Southend
Friday 15 April – closed
Saturday 16 April – info point is closed as usual for a Saturday but the public library (ground and first floor) will be staffed 9am-5pm.
Sunday 17 April – closed
Monday 18 April – closed
The Learning Hub will still be accessible 24/7 and students will additionally be able to browse on the first floor and self issue books.
Loughton
Friday 15 April – closed
Saturday 16 April – open, self-service only between 11:00 – 17:00
Sunday 17 April – closed (as usual)
Monday 18 April – closed

- Support via chat, emails and phone

Access to all e-resources will still be available. Guidance relating to your area of study can be found in our Subject Guides and for more general advice (such as help with search skills, referencing, etc) check out our Skills at Library page.
