Spring has arrived and Easter is on the way! 🌼
We’ll be taking a break over the holiday period, so please read on for information about our opening hours and the services which will be available during this time.
OPENING HOURS 🐣
Colchester
Thursday 6 April – main library closing at 8pm
Friday 7 April – closed
Saturday 8 April – closed
Sunday 9 April – closed
Monday 10 April – closed
Tuesday 11 April – main library opening at 8am
There will be 24/7 access to the Library Reading Room and Postgraduate Room throughout. Books can be returned to the external book return in Colchester at any time over the closure period, the book return is located opposite the Silberrad.
Southend
Friday 7 April – closed
Saturday 8 April – info point is closed as usual for a Saturday, but the public library (ground and first floor) will be staffed 8am-5pm.
Sunday 9 April – closed
Monday 10 April – closed
The Learning Hub will still be accessible 24/7 and students will additionally be able to browse on the first floor and self-issue books.
Loughton
Thursday 6 April – closed from 11pm
Friday 7 April – closed
Saturday 8 April – closed
Sunday 9 April – closed (as usual)
Monday 10 April – closed
Tuesday 11 April – open from 8.30am

Access to all e-resources will still be available. Guidance relating to your area of study can be found in our Subject Guides and for more general advice (such as help with search skills, referencing, etc) check out our Skills at Library page.
