Our libraries will still be open over the May Bank Holidays, although there will be a reduction in some services. Please read on for information about our opening hours and which services will be available.
Monday 1 May
Library staff will be able to help with any enquiries via phone or e-mail between 10am – 6pm. Our Live Chat service will be available from 10am – 12pm and then again from 2pm – 6pm.
Colchester
Library staff will be in the building 10am – 6pm to assist with enquiries. There will be 24/7 access to all floors of the Albert Sloman Library throughout the Bank Holiday. The Paternoster will not be in operation.
Southend
The Info Point and public library services will be closed. There will be self-service access to The Learning Hub and library spaces as usual.
Loughton
The library will be open as usual, however, self-service only between 8:30am – 11pm with the helpdesk being closed.
